may have been the victim of a gout attack:
● Intense, throbbing pain that begins at night
● Fever
● Pain and swelling in a joint, usually beginning in the feet
● Pain that increases intensely for several hours and then decreases over the
course of a few days
● Peeling skin around the painful joint
● Red or purple skin around the painful joint
● Nodules on your hands, elbows, or ears
Gout can also affect joints in your upper limbs including wrists, fingers, and
elbows, and may lead to more chronic types of arthritis.

some view gout as a result of poor eating and drinking habits, in reality, nothing could be further from the

Genetics
Between 20% and 80% of gout patients have a history of the disease. Your family
